First Dance Competition

Saturday was the first dance competition for both Kesli and Kemri. They did an awesome job! Both teams took 2nd place. They have loved dancing @ Studio 48 and they absolutley love their dance teacher Dallas. She has taught both of them since they were 3 years old. I am so proud of both of them. I know it is a lot of work, and they have both improved so much this past year. I was a little hesitant about letting them compete, but overall it has been a fun experience for both of them. They loved getting all dressed up to perform (exept the false eyelashes, that was fun trying to get those on!) and have truely loved everything! This might seem totally weird, but I have to give a little shout out for Studio 48. I was so impressed at how "clean" and appropriate all the moves and music were for all their teams. Unfortunately the same could not be said of some of the other teams. There are just certain songs and moves that 10 year olds should not be doing. They also try to keep the costumes as modest as possible. So if you are looking for a great dance studio, I completely recommend Studio 48, as a mom:). Thanks Dallas for running a great studio and teaching my girls so well for so many years! .....Kesli is in the top pic, right in the front middle, Kemri is the 2nd pic also in the middle but back one.

Called to Serve

CONGRATULATIONS! To my baby brother Taylor! He received his mission call yesterday to the Florida, Tallhassee mission. He leaves June 3rd. I can't believe he is old enough to serve a mission. He is the youngest of 6 and I think my poor mom is freaking out a little. He is her baby. I am so proud of his decision. He will be an awesome missionary! He has such a big heart and really cares about people. He is such a good example to all of his friends. Even though we will miss him, I know he is doing the right thing and couldn't be happier for him! Look at him....Isn't he stinkin' cute!

"Good News"

So, I've been debating whether or not to post this funny little story....and I think there are few that might appreciate it. So here it goes....

A few mornings ago Kyson woke up and went into the bathroom like he always does. He was in there kind of a long time so I poked my head in to see if everything was alright. He had a very concerned look on his face. I asked him what the problem was and he said "mom, the poop won't come out" I told him sometimes you just have to try again later. So we went about our day. A couple hours later he was in the bathroom again, the one near the computer where I work. I happened to be on the phone with one of my dad's clients. Suddenly Kyson yelled....pretty loud...."MOM, ughhh! I peed on my leg, but good news, the poop came out!" I'm 100% certain that the guy on the phone heard everything! I hurried and finished up on the phone and went to help Kyson. I had to just laugh, what else could I do . I can just imagine what the guy on the phone was thinking. Kyson always has us laughing at the things that he says, this time he just had really great timing. So much for being professional!

These are a few of my Favorite things........

Tagged by Heather.....5 of my Favorite things. I love this tag, because I love to see all the great ideas from my creative friends...So everybody has to do it!

#1. My very favorite website is http://www.bhg.com/ ! I can find anything there. It's a great site to find decorating ideas, recipes, crafts, fun things for kids, great holiday ideas, and gardening info

#2. GreenWorks all purpose cleaner by Clorox! I love this stuff! It smells so fresh and clean, but isn't too strong. I use it on everything! I use it in the kitchen, bathroom, and everything in between. I usually buy the big bottle of the concentrate and mix it in a spray bottle. It lasts forever.

#3. I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but I absolutely love cream cheese. Pretty much anything made with cream cheese is usually pretty tastey! I stinkin' love the stuff. So if anybody has any great recipes with cream cheese ( dessets, main dishes, anything...) I would love you to share them:)

#4. I love this lipgloss from Bath & Body Wqqorks. It lasts forever, has just the tiniest bit of color and smells so yummy. The only problem is my girls always seem to find it in my purse and suddenly they think it's theirs. I guess they like it as much as I do.

#5. This is a great website! I use to use it all the time for ideas for Young Womens. I now use it for primary. They have the funnest ideas for sharing time, activites, etc.. They even have really cute FHE ideas check it out....www.sugardoodle.net

So, I am loving American Idol this season. Most seasons I find myself losing interest after the really bad, really funny auditions. However, this time around there are two contestants I LOVE!

One of them being Meagan Corkrey and the other Danny Gokey. I Love Meagen, not just because she's from UT, but because she is so unique. Her voice is not perfect, but I think thats why I like her so much. I'm usually not a big tatoo fan, but I think all the great stuff about Meagan over-shadows it. (Just a bonus, she's also a cute mom) And Danny just really can sing. Plus I like that he just looks like a regular guy in glasses and jeans. I was so glad to see Meagan get put back in the running in the wild card round. It will be interseting to see how far she goes because there are some great singers. HA HA look at me jump on the American Idol band wagon. To my defense though, it has been a great tool to get my girls to snuggle up with me twice a week. Happy American Idol watching!

THANK YOU!

I just wanted to take a few minutes to thank all of my cute "bloggin' friends"! I am so blessed to be able to work from home for my dad. I really only work during "tax season", but I don't leave my house hardly ever from January to April. I answer the phones, make all of my dads appiontments, answer questions and send about a million emails. It's a great job because I can still be home and be Mom, and it's only for about 4 months, but I start to get cabin fever about this time every year. This is why I am loving that I can read about your cute families and hear your stories. It helps me to still feel conected somehow. There have been so many times that your posts have made me laugh, cry, up lifted me and made me smile. Especailly on days like today. I just spoke with a lady (a client) on the phone, and there wasn't anything nice about her. She was totally rude! Of course I have to be professional, so I was as polite as I could be, and super glad to be done with that phone call. So A GIANT THANK YOU to all of you! I really have loved being able to watch your families grow. I love all your cute ideas. I love that you are all such great, talented people and I learn so much from your awesome examples! Thanks for making my boring winter days a little brighter:)

HapPy BiRthDaY KeMri

Yay! I get to do it again....Brag about one of my kids that is! My little Kemri just turned 9 on the 28th of February! She is truely such a gift. I can't imagine not having her in our family. She is such an even tempered, pleasant girl. She LOVES animals and has such a caring little heart. She is super creative and always amazes me with the things she comes up with. I know that my Heavenly Father knew we needed Kemri in our family and sent her when he did for a purpose. She is happy most all the time. She can always find something positve about any situation. She has a love for music. She loves to sing and is pretty good I think ( I'm her mom, I can think anything I want!) She recently sang a duet for the Primary program. She and another little boy sang "If the Savior Stood Beside Me" I remeber looking out at all the people, who had tears in their eyes and smiles on their faces. She did such a wonderful job. Kemri has always been able to teach herself anything and can pick things up pretty quickly. She taught herself to read when she was about 3. She is a very good reader and loves it. She loves to dance and loves being on the competition dance team at her dance studio. She absolutely loves to ski. Kyle can't get her off the mountain. I'm so blessed to be her mom. She really is such a good kid. I love my little Kems! Happy Birthday baby:)
