Happy Birthday DAD! My cute dad turned 51 May 22. I know that most people make a big deal of 50, but we really wanted to surprise him so we waited a year thinking that he would never suspect anything on his 51st birthday. We planned so carefully.......we thought. We told him we were getting together for my little niece Sidney's birthday and sent him to pick up my grandma while all the guests arrived. He just kept asking questions the nosey little butt. He did have an idea that something was up, but I don't think that he knew exactly what. I guess we surprised him a little, but it was still so fun. My cute little brother Taylor put together a video that was so awesome! My dad has several quotes that he says all the time so we hung them up all over the place, to name a few......."Lazy people have twice as much work"......"it takes no talent to hustle"...."Positive Attitude, Positive Attitude, Positive Attitude!" He has had a lot of influence on a lot of people. He has coached football & softball ever since I can remember. He coached every one of his kids. Both my sisters played comp softball and he put in so much time to help them and the team. I still hear from people all the time how much they loved him as a coach and how much he helped them. He now coaches my Kesli and her team. ( I guess he lost hope that I would ever play, I'm not so good with sports that have a ball) He really does care about all the girls and still puts in countless hours! It was fun to have a get together to tell him how much we appreciate all he has done......by the way check out that cake, I think I might be Betty Crocker...JK......oh and it's too bad who ever made that cute sign, doesn't know how to spell BIRTHDAY, wait that was me! You better believe I will never live that down!

Kyson has been dying to go to the airplane museum, so we called some friends and went. He loved being with his friends and seeing all the airplanes. He just kept asking afterward why he didn't get to fly one. Boys love anything with an engine. ( Bottom Pic left to right: Jake, Boston, Kyson, Cade, Kembree and Macey)

What a weekend! I bet you would never guess all three of these pictures were taken the same day! So I'll start at the beginning......Friday night Kesli had a tournament up in Logan. She played three games that night, they won them all! They played until about 10:40pm and we arrived home about 11:40 pm. During warm-ups before their first game Kesli pulled a muscle in her leg, but she stayed tough and played through it with lots of Icy Hot and Advil. So the next morning they started games again at 10:15, and of course coach (grandpa) needs them there an hour and a half early...so they had to be there at 9:15, so we left our house about 8:15. They played the first game that went into an extra inning and won. We had some lunch with some of her team mates and then booked it back down the canyon because she had a dance recital. Luckily Kyle's parents live close to Roy High ( dance rectial location) so we went there and we had both Kesli and Kemri ready in about 20 minutes. This really is an accomplishment! Kesli then danced beautifully in her recital ( so did Kems..but that's to come later) and as soon as she came off stage I grabbed her and we ran ( for real RAN) to the car and booked it back up the canyon, while changing yet again and trying wipe off all the recital make up.
( hello, you so can't have make-up on and play ball!) She did miss two games ( that never makes the coach happy), and she hates to miss anything, but we did get ther back for the Championship game! The girls who were a good two years younger thatn most the girls on the other team played great! However in the end we lost and took 2nd place in the tournament! GO THUNDER! They finished the game around 9:00pm, we ate dinner, picked up Kemri at Grandma's house and got home around midnight! Thank goodness for 1:00 church:)

I thought it was so cute that the team that won asked our team to come take pictures with them on home plate.....Both teams had great sportsmanship! Way to go girls
My little Kems was such a good sport throughout the whole wekend. She came and cheered her sister on and never complained! She stayed up late, got up early and was drug all over the place. She even came with mom and dad and helped us pick out a new bat for Kesli while she was warming up and never said "what do I get" or "it's not fair she gets something new" I was so proud of her. She danced great in her recital! After the recital she had a birthday party to go to, so Nama Nay ( my mom) took her to her party and picked her up and she got to hand out with grandma for the rest of the night. I do believe she deserves a surprise for being such a good kid! Way to go Kemri, what would we do with out you! And I sure can't forget Kyson. He was not quite as good, but cheered up when Dad got his bat and ball and he could "practice, cuz his coach said he had to!"

I Forgot to put this with the last post....here is my wonderful Mother's Day Stash!

WOW! It has been a crazy couple weeks! I forget how busy May is. I think it might be busier than December. Soccer games, softball games, D.A.R.E. graduation, dance competions, field trips, yard work and I'm sure a lot I can't or don't want to remember! I haven't posted in a while so I have some catching up to do........Mother's Day was definately one of the highlights for me. My cute little fam made me breakfast and had all kinds of cards, books and a Michael Buble' (LOVE HIM) CD sitting at the table. And the best part of all....nobody complained about what I made them wear to church or how I did their hair, that is a happy day!

Kemri & her cute friend Alli.......Last game of the season! GO RAPTORS!
